My most used line from that tragedy. After the damage and losing engines 3 and 4 on a heavily loaded aircraft, Capt. Cronin was struggling with the aircraft and turned to Engineer Thomas and asked "How much power can I get out of number 1 and 2 engines?" Without missing a beat Thomas replied "Whatever it takes Sir." He knew this was no time for charts and limitations.
