Horror of residents in plush London suburb as stowaway who had been clinging to a plane plunges to his death in the middle of street
A stowaway appears to have plunged thousands of feet onto a quiet residential street after his frozen body dropped out of an aeroplane's undercarriage as it came in to land. The body of the man, thought to be in his 30s and from North Africa, was found on a car parked in a road near London Heathrow Airport by shocked residents at 7:55am yesterday morning. Graanted the people were stupid. But there are few comments about the desperation of people in this world and the loss of life or are they only people from Africa. Have WE lost our humanity?
Well, we have only heard of 3 in the last year. The one a couple of weeks ago was running from security and just hopped in the BA 747 to hide. His original intention for entering the Airport is unknown. I thought I had read that this guy was from North Africa but I just reread the article and they simply don't know. The other was the teenager last year that hopped the US Air at CLT going to Boston, and fell out about 2 miles out on approach. As far as losing the Humanity, I really don't think so, but you have a group of people in this forum that are aviation oriented and these acts just seem so perposterous, they just can't understand it. There are 3 people here in the space of a year There are probably many other things that these folks would be sensitive too that others might not be.
Twice in a week. This guy was from North Africa, the other was from down South around C'town or J'burg. It will be fairly hard to pin this one down due to no one seeing it. What is wrong with people?
Hmm they need to lower the gear over water so the bodys wont hit anyone alive down below as they cant seem to figure out what happens after they get in. Hope it didnt hurt anyones car.
Well, this is 3 times in about a year. It is an unfortunate happening but how many flights per day in the world? Tis sad that it happens and I guess nowadays it's news when it happens but the number is so insignificant % wise that it's not fair to put the extra time/trouble/expense on somebody else just because somebody does something stupid every now and then. That said, if it is that easy for somebody to get across the tarmac and into a wheelwell, it is just as easy to put a bomb or something in there. Where was security? IMHO
Like they stupid is as stupid does or cant fix stupid.
Yeah, I guess the only reason that guy stayed in at Heathrow last week was that there was more room in the wheelwell of that 747 and he just literally froze stiff. I expect he just dodged security and jumped in there to hide and when the plane started rolling he had an Oh S^&t MOMENT.!!
