This sounds like an airline suspension not one by the licensing authority...suspended from a job that no longer exists. Shouldn't be difficult for a senior A-330 pilot to catch on with a solvent airline. This might e slightly more awkward if the German authorities suspend their licenses but it is likely to be short lived.
