Incident: KLM B737 at Amsterdam on Nov 1st 2016, on an engine and a half following multiple bird strikes

A KLM Boeing 737-900, registration PH-BXR performing flight KL-1681 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Barcelona,SP (Spain), departed Amsterdam's runway 36C and was in the initial climb still in contact with tower when the crew declared PAN PAN PAN reporting an engine (CFM56) failure following multiple bird strikes, about eight birds, they would maintain runway heading and climb to 3000 feet, they still had "well, an engine and a half". Poor rewrite of what actually took place one engine was FINE the other lost about half thrust. HO HUM happens quite often.
