NYPD chopper makes emergency landing in water

An NYPD helicopter carrying five officers has made an emergency water landing. Police say the helicopter landed upright in Jamaica Bay on Wednesday afternoon while returning to a nearby police department airfield. One of the officers suffered a minor injury. (seattletimes.nwsource.com) More...

I'd be interested in hearing what type of helicopter ... Some years ago San Jose Police (California)Department .. had a copter go down (N904PD) that killed two, also due to mechanical issues as ruled by the NTSB and FAA.
