JAL Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Lovely Takeoff Roll

Submitted
Great sounding Dreamliner taking off Logan Airport's runway 22L! Which engines sound better, the 787's GEnx or the 777's GE-90? :) (www.youtube.com) More...

Even the wadsworth constant isn't enough to counter the poor editing here.

This post prompts my observation that the giant winglet gods were not sitting on the desks of the Boeing engineers who designed this wing. Hadn't really noticed before. Cool video.

I believe the term for them are "raked" wing tips, the 748's have them too, as well as the few 764's that were built. But the 737Max's will have a new style winglet.

Does that mean similar to the 787's or altogether different again?

Sorry for long reply wait, but is completely redesigned, something different from everything we've seen yet.

Ah yes, the real reason for engineers, something new and different. No sweat on the wait, as my regular presence on this forum might indicate that I have a little time to kill and my 30 years as a pilot might indicate that I have almost perfected it. Killing time that is. Hurry up and wait!

Cheers.

Sorry NO it was not. The battery fire airplane was JA829J, this aircraft is JA825J

Love the sound of the seagulls and waves lapping on the shore with those big turbofans whining in the background. Don't get much better than that.

Was this the same 787 that had the APU battery fire the other day?
