Great news for a change way to go. Fresh out of school and sharp as a tack. A confidence booster for sure.
Good job. Well done ð
Great job by the nurse, first for stepping up, next for keeping the situation calm. Not too sure about the Pilot's response - asking what he should do instead of immediately seeking clearance for an emergency landing.
I think the pílot acted quite well. His job is flying the plane, not checking the hearts of passengers. When told thre was an emergency he acted accordingly.
The pilot is responsible for the safety of each and every passenger. He / She is to do whatever has to be done to be sure that each passenger arrives safely.
If all he has to do is fly the plane, computers have taken most of this process out of the hands of the pilots.
He was aware of the emergency before being told to land the plane. If he had a warning for a mechanical problem, he addresses it at the time of the warning, he doesn't wait for failure to then "act accordingly"...
