Just a couple of thoughts. Would you like to play 'you bet your life' it was just out of gas? Did something break that was not noticeable in the weeds. Another question 'why not disassemble at the landing site?'
We were a bit overweight, guys, so we took off light on fuel. We gotta hit a tanker at... Uh Oh...
If you are too lazy or stupid to check the fuel and oil -- stick with cars before you hurt yourself or somebody else. Who in hell is teaching him? His instructor can't be much if this is the best he or she can do. I'm glad I started in 1961. They were not so forgiving of mistakes back then. And, you were told in in terms that you did not forget.
You prolly didn't even have a "safe space" to go to.
I've read on the Internet that gluten-free fuel is healthier.
It ran out of fuel. What am I missing here? Instead of slowing traffic for 11 miles so it could be towed to a rest area, disassembled and trucked to an airport, why not just put 20 gallons of fuel in it, block the road for two minutes and fly it off? By someone other than the meathead who ran out of fuel and landed it on the Interstate, of course. My question is sincere. I don't understand. Perhaps someone will state the reasons in the comments?
