Air traffic controller hoax diverts plane from landing: FAA investigating
June 15, 2014 An air traffic controller's joke diverted a plane from landing and it is considered no laughing matter by the Federal Aviation Administration who is investigating the incident. This potentially dangerous joke was told to a pilot landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atanta International Airport, according to FCN News on June 13. Delayed landing in Atlanta blamed on controller 'joke'
A delayed landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport last week has been blamed on a “joke” by an air traffic controller, and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
The pilot of Delta Flight 630 from Detroit canceled his landing on June 11, 2014, after the air traffic controller told him not to land and to circle the airport instead. (USA Today)

When their are lives and million dollar airvraft at stake .. I'd say; Fire the controller ... AVIATION IS NOT A JOKING matter ...
