Boeing 747 and Airbus A330 bump at Amsterdam Schiphol

Submitted
A Boeing 747 and an Airbus A330 collided on tarmac at Schiphol Airport on November 16 early in the morning. Both aircraft had minor damages. Boeing 747 had just a dent in the nose while the A330 had a damaged wingtip. Airport officials are investigating the incident. KLM did not comment on the issue yet. (www.airlinerwatch.com) More...

Looks like someone else is about to join the ever-increasing number of the unemployed.

I bet the 747's pilot wished he had a horn to lean on as the wingtip approached.

Just a "Dent"..wish it was that simple. I'd rather deal with a damaged wing tip than what might turn into several manhours and downtime on the B747's repair job.

Yeah, think the 747 will be out of service for a while!

If the tarmac is as crowded as the passenger terminals (last time I was there) then I'm surprised that this isn't a weekly occurrence.
