KAVX (Catalina IS, CA) is a short (3000'), down hill slope which falls off into the ocean -- it's not hard to guess the pilot overshot the runway and was lucky not to have gone into the water

Very interesting photo of a Cirrus accident. Looking at the IAP this appears to be a runway overrun incident but can't tell which runway this is. I would really be interested to know what caused this accident such as poor visibility, wet runway conditions, landing overweight, PIC judgement error, etc options of what could have caused the incident.
