This isn't an Apache, it's an Aztec.
PA27, not PA23
Surprise , this Call Sign is the one of a TWin Otter in 2017.... Is it the same???
Apache doesn't have the extended nose or that much room.
I'm surprised that Doug isn't complaining that there are 4 photos of planes with floats this week!!! There's no pleasing this guy....
DHC-6_369 - Twin Otter
C-FGON - PA27 - Piper PA-23-250 Aztec F

Looking through the available registrations we came across C-FGON and liked the sound of it for our “new” plane.
I did some research on the history and found out that it was issued to a Dakota in the late 40’s but never taken up as it was exported to England. It was then issued to a Twin Otter that at was built in Downsview Ontario around 1982.
The aircraft flew northern Ontario with the great old airlines like Austin Airways, Air Dale and NorOntario till 2017 when it was deregistered and exported to Venezuela.
The registration had great northern history and felt it suited our new float plane.
