I wonder if any of Buffalo Airways ( Ice Pilots) fleet of DC-3's were at that show. Joe Mc Bryan, owner loved DC-3's since he was a child. He bought a few of the WW2 C-47s and converted them to freight. He had two passenger planes. Most are parked now due to shortage of Avgas in the Northwest Territory. I have a large collection of DC-3, Dakotas, C-47 models in my collection including a custom made model of the Continental Dc-3 on display at the Lone Star Flight Museum which also includes models of it's entire history since 1940 when it started as a American Airlines Flagship " Big Spring". Then TTA bought it and it flew out of the old Houston airport. Parked several years in San Antonio until BBA (Boston) bought it. It ended up in Galveston, Texas when Continental bought it and made it a "party plane" for Continental. Now United.

George....I did enjoy watching Buffalo Pilots. Amazing flying during most tough conditions.

Don't know about there being "5 Gooney Birds in a row" here Ken. The last one at the far end looks like a Curtis C-46 Commando to me, but I could be wrong. I was before, once! :) Whatever, it's a very evocative photo!
