'Placid Lassie' took part in the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. It's one of five vintage aircraft from the 2024 Legacy Tour crossing the North Atlantic to Normandy, France honoring the 80th anniversary of D-Day and then to Germany to honor the 75th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift.
