There are no words that are adequate or appropriate enough to express how sincerely appreciative I am to have been the only photographer permitted to be positioned at the "touchdown" location adjacent to Runway 34L. Despite how unbelieveably trite this sounds, I want to say "Thank You" to everyone in the various agencies who made it possible for me to be at this location.

Fantastic shot and catch Gary!

Hiya, Boss. Yep. I was stunned when I was allowed to get this close. I received a WH Press Pass so everyone would know I was legit. It turned out that I ended up on the shadier side (it was overcast but the brighter, more sunlit side, side was on the OTHER side) but if I had been over there I'd have been much further away. With all the clouds, there really wasn't THAT much difference anyway. They asked if there was anyone I wanted to invite along but there aren't any folks around here who have much interest. In fact, only a handful of folks showed up to see the jet they all pay taxes for - which means they are "owners.' When I pay my $ to pay for something, I figure I'm entitled to at least SEE it. And I sure nuff got to see it nice and close up here. (Wave)

Dave & Greg .... TY, guys. Truth be told; it is you two along with Darryl in BOS; Alien, Gavin, Seth and so many others who, tallied together, made this opportunity "happen" for me. I won't explain here but suffice to say that my folder did all the "talking." Like the guy told me, there is only one "stat" that counts for pics here on FA, and as he said, the "stars' don't mean squat because even a photo of a dog or a pretty sunset can get lots of stars on this site. But, he also commented that EVERY "star' vote is important -- NOT because of the star itself which can be a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5; but because every time a vote is cast, it adds to the stat that IS important. That's all I'll say here but I'm sure you know what I'm referring to. (Grin) I agreed with him 100%. So I owe Thanks to both of you and many others for the opportunity I ended up being given to click this. -- G

Sometimes it's not all about the sunny side 'perfect 3/4 angle' shot. Shade side, cloud cover, even in the dark, doesn't matter - if the shot's good, the shot's good and in my opinion, this is.
