Lockheed C-141 Starlifter (66-0177) - This click of what is perhaps the most well-known USAF C-141 Starlifter, the "Hanoi Taxi" (66-0177), was taken about 16 months ago when it was still on display on the open grounds of the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. Fortunately, this historic aircraft is now safe from the elements; it is now located inside the brand new fourth hangar at the museum.br /For younger viewers (or for viewers of ANY age) who may have little or no idea of the historical significance of this particular Starlifter, I urge you to enter "USAF Hanoi Taxi" or "Starlifter Hanoi Taxi" into your favorite search engine and then read about this aircraft and the wonderful mission it flew. And if you ever get within driving distance of the United States Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio, stop there. If you have a serious and true interest in the history of military aircraft, this is a "bucket list" visit.

Hi Gary, how's it been going? Congrats on all of your latest snaps! All well done! This one is the one that stood out to me... a truely historic aircraft and hopefully one I get to see in person someday (definitely one on the bucket list you talked about). One of my proffesors actually flew thses back while they were in service... he has a ton of great stories about flying them. Again well done on this one and your other snaps (Due to time or lack of time rather, I will only make this one comment and just vote on the others without making any comments)
