The storm was just about over but there was still some snow falling around 10:40 AM when American's N988NN began to flare out to land on Runway 34L at the end of a DFW-RNO trip.

The snow that fell overnight and into the morning hours created a different background. Instead of the usual backdrop of the Sierra Nevada, everything was covered in a white blanket and with snow still falling, only the closest objects were visible and even they were more like simple shadows on a white canvas. As a result, although there was snow falling around them as they came past my various photo clicking locations, the aircraft stood out very nicely.
