There were nine in our spotting group positioned at the intersection of the two runways when this huge Lockheed bird came into view turning final to 31L for the first of two T and Gs. This was a rather special treat as we enjoyed a "farewell" final spotting visit to KNFL. Escorted "runway-edge" spotting opportunities for aviation photogs will be terminated next month.

Hi, Dave, and Thanx. I've got better and I'll send one to you (via e/m) but since this is just FA this is good enough for their gallery - at least this one is a REAL picture, eh? lol
You can't see them because I cropped them off but just barely out of the pic off the right side there are 8 people sitting in beach chairs or standing as it is touching down directly in front of them. The second time it came in I had moved on to Runway 7-25 behind them to snap them right next to it as it went past. If the bird had touched down on the left edge of 31L instead of centerline the wing would have gone right over them. It's always an awesome place to get pics. It's coming to an end next month, but I've been out there 26 times so I've got thousands of prime closeups.
Much finer Q pics in your e/m by next week. (Thumbs Up)

Beautiful Photo Gary...........

This should be Best Pic of the Week for me on FA.

I know the feeling back in 2016 when Hardwood Air-to-Ground Bombing Range was closed to the public in May of 2016 - central Wisconsin.

Absolutely beautiful pic.
