Boeing 737-800 (N8606C)

Southwest's N8606C is just off 35R and on the climb through a steady downpour in this breakfast hour snap.
It had been raining all night and was supposed to continue raining all day BUT ... two hours after I got this shot the temperature dropped below freezing and the rain changed to snow. Initially, I was rather pleased that the precipitation had gone from rain to snow because my goal had been to get inclement weather photos (we don't get much rain OR snow at RNO so getting both in one visit was sort of a double dividend). However, the change in precip backfired on me. The snow became a blizzard rather quickly and by the 11 AM hour inbound flights were diverting and other scheduled flights were being cancelled due to visibility dropping below minimums. [In fact, a scheduled return visit in the afternoon by the above SW B738 (N8606C) was one of the many cancellations caused by the snowstorm.] By noon, with no commercial air traffic arriving anymore, there was little reason for me to stick around so I called it a day. But I did get what I went for -- inclement WX pictures.
