Not to be disrespectful to V-77 owners, but this is a Reliant SR-10J. There's a difference. NC21104 is one of the prettiest girls in the air. Hope to see her again soon.

The V-77 identification is due to FA defaulting to this type when the ICAO aircraft code of "RELI" is entered for aircraft type identification. Ppick, the uploader of this photo, had no choice in that matter... this is how FA's database works.

To elaborate on what Cliff said, RELI is the ICAO code for all variants of the Stinson Reliant. I quote the following from flugzeuginfo.net:

"The Reliant was built in several variants designated SR-1 through SR-10. Variants SR-1 through SR-6 have a straight wing, SR-7 through the final variant SR-10 have a different gull wing. After World War II surplus military Reliant UC-81 and AT-19 were sold as the Vultee V-77."

And, not to be disrespectful to you, Mike, but are either of the two photos you posted of this aircraft actually yours? Cliff found evidence that at least one of them is not. So, if you're going to post someone else's work, please, at least give them the proper attribution.
Greg Byington
Correction: He found evidence that both of them were taken by someone else.

Oh, and that is a nice shot, ppick!

Thanks, Greg... that's a much better explanation of how FA works and how ICAO aircraft identification codes are used here. Too, "borrowing" photos for posting on FA isn't exactly bad per se... but doing so sans any proper credit and attribution to the original photographer is truly in "poor form"!

Greg - I've never seen a less than exemplary photo uploaded here by our FA member Ppick... nor one that was not his own original camera work!!!
Greg Byington
I'm with you Cliff. I can live with someone posting someone else's shot as long as they give them credit. And you're right about ppick, he's got a lot of great shots, and I've never had a reason to think they're not his. Keep up the great work, ppick, and thanks, Cliff!

Greg - You are very welcome and thanks for the kind words!

I'm convinced that ppick owns the record on FA for the best and most Boeing B-52 Stratofortress photo captures!
Greg Byington
You might be right about ppick!

My apologies for any misunderstanding on photo credits. NC21104 was my dad's airplane for over 30 years and feeling nostalgic after his passing, I uploaded a few photos of this beautiful plane. In no way did I intend to take any credit for the photography and sincerely apologize for any issues it may have caused.
