In approx. 1993 I picked up a famous former owner, who grew up in Houston, at KDWH. I've been in this C414! I was a part-time limo driver, with full time job at FAA. Took him, his IFR pilot, an High level horse dealer, an Arab Prince and his son. They ate at a Hooter's. (figures) at the request of the Prince's son.
They got a call that the famous owner's brother had been in a parachute jumping accident. We discussed all options for transporting them or his blood to CA. He gave blood at a local ER. Later dropped them off a Fancy hotel downtown Houston. The subject was a great guy as he rode in the passenger seat and we had a nice talk on way from KDWH to Dinner. This acft later in a famous incident.
Glad to see acft returned to service(noted same paint job). Fly Safe!
