According to a news release, when is came out in 2012 it was "the most intricately painted commercial aircraft in the world". Even has fish scales on the winglets. The design was in partnership with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, which promotes wild, natural and sustainable Alaska seafood.

There was a prior "Salmon-Thirty-Salmon" Boeing 737-400 that came out in 2005, but that one was repainted to Alaska Airline's "traditional" livery back in 2011.
