The R-2800s on this particular aircraft emit a sound that is incredible and peculiar to the C-46 and which is totally different from that of coming off from the DC-6, Convair 340, A/B-26 and others using the same engines and this is due to the size and shape of the cowlings, exhaust manifold and wings all of which conform a "sound box" and needless to say I enjoy them all.

Sam-Glad you posted a pic of the C-46 in flight. I don't recall seeing one before. It is an attractive airplane while in the air, not so much on the ground. Nice work! 5* shot
