Did you know that PBY's had no wing flaps~? Land them in choppy water and the nose dips under a wave submerging the windscreen and slowly she rises and adding to the 'pucker-factor' ... hopefully. Additionally, there is a jump seat located between the fuselage and the wing and during a slip maneuver things creek-moan-and pop~! Very unnerving to say the least.
