To me this is probably one of the worst ideas ever with this decision to divest even further in the NY market!!! I am so sad to see AA do this!!! American is essentially handing an even larger share of the New York market to Delta at JFK. Kennedy is already "Delta land"!!! NY is a point to point destinations in addition to being a connecting hub. PHL is only a connecting hub for the the international routes which will limit AA's potential to fill planes as compared to Delta at JFK.
