Wisconsin would be the worst place for Boeing to move. Being a state controlled by Walker, who hates the working class, WISC could not provide workers with the skills to build planes. No company should move to WI while it is under a man like Walker. So I hope Boeing understands that WI is not a good move. Walker suppresses the working class too much.
And they have a new radar systems but not being used because of contractual issues. This is insane. When will they become part of the 21 Century. And passengers are risking their lives flying in and out of these countries.
We love DM being in Tucson and will put up with the daily/nightly aircraft noise. We know that are protecting the nation. Many of them go on 6 month tours of duty in the war zones. But they are well trained in doing that mission. Thanks AirForce.
Tax payers are paying out tens of millions of dollars on airports that their local Senator or House Member got pork barrel money to run/create a runway at the airport. Some of these airports service only one customer or business and not open to public use.
But we, the tax payers, have no say once those crazy law makers are in office. Other than to defeat them the next election.
But I suspect this is peanuts to what else we are wasting monies on. So much of it is hidden, out of sight for us to see.
Aircraft must avoid thunderstorms as well as the surface conditions they produce. In terms of wind shear, pilots avoid both taking off and landing during such conditions. Yet flying out of Miami to Dallas, the pilot made the decision to fly during a terrible thunderstorm. What a ride. I think the pilot took way to many risks with over a hundred passengers to take us into that storm. And when we got to Dallas, they had freezing rain, so we couldn't land.
Why are pilots given the authority to make such a critical decision?
