I don't want to appear ignorant but when did air bags for pax seats come along? They are totally dangerous anyway with no shoulder strap.

They are in the seat belt on certain business class seats.

There is an air bag plant near Moses Lake WA and they have had some accidents there that have resulted in serious injury's to workers.
