— — - Bucharest Aurel Vlaicu Airport historical terminal, prior to renovation. Also known as Baneasa: Louis Blériot opened it in 1909 with an inaugural flight. In 1912 the first flight school in that part of Europe was established there. It is one of the five longest serving airports in the world. The terminal rebuilt in 1940  is a testimony to Corbusier or Bauhaus style architecture.
