Absolutely agree. They should be moved to the nearest scrap yard. Their basic design is intrisically faulty and no software fudge will make them safe. They will remain a safety hazard forever. As a frequent flyer I can say thousands of passengers will refuse to fly on one. Even the crew will worry on every flight.

believe that the 737 Max should be scrapped and withdrawn from service immediately and forever. No matter how much Boeing fudge (sorry, "fix") the software problem, basic air frame and design faults making the airframe inherently unstable, will remain, and cannot be changed without major rebuild. In its current form, this aircraft will always be an accident waiting to happen. I would certainly never trust this aircraft again and avoid it like the plague - as I am sure many other travellers will. It is certain insurance industry is looking on with trepidation, increasing industry insurance rates for this aircraft, which might impinge on other Boeing aircraft. It is possible that passenger travel insurance industry will either refuse to cover travellers or increase premiums/reduce payouts for this aircraft. Boeing's own non actions (including blaming 3rd world aircrew) before and after the two crashes and now their desperate attempt to move the cases to "less damaging

This will get worse. What's to say that the complainant is genuine or a right winger out to cause trouble. The airlines should put their collective foot down. If the COMPLAINANT is not comfortable, then he/she should be given the opportunity to transfer to another flight. Otherwise it is like the old days where African Americans were jailed even without evidence because they "may" have done something wrong sometime. This is a slippery slope all civilized countries should avoid.

This raises another question though slightly off topic. Its regarding items taken off passengers as non allowable on board. Despite various notices, some people do bring items in their hand luggage either by accident or ignorance. On my various trips I have seen security persons at various London, Toronto, New York, Zurich, airports confiscate non allowable items from passengers and throw them into a bin on the side. What happens to these items? Included with assorted water bottles, etc are some which seem to be new, unused, quite attractive and collectable. The one time I asked, I given a strange look and told they would be "disposed of". What really happens to the "good" items? How are they disposed of - thrown away, given to charity, sold, or do the staff distribute them amongst themselves?

As the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill (mother and wife were american so he should know) allegedly said "..you can always trust the Americans to do the right thing - eventually." Don't worry guys we're still friends and sometimes friends agree to disagree. All will be revealed in a few hundred years time, and then some people on one side or the other will say "Oh ****** the other side was right after all" - the rest will still say there is no proof!
