Accidental discharge at Atlanta International Airport
"An "accidental discharge" of a firearm at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport" (www.foxnews.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
I used to have that problem but now I just think about baseball.
If what I read is correct the gun owner is a convicted felo who should not have had poseesion to begin with and was "entitled" enough to think he could take a loaded gun thru security and on to an aircraft.
He is, as a Reserve LEO, I reached out to friends who informed me a 3 time felon.
emkostiuk..law enforcemnet officers are never on a "reserve" status..this was a felon who should not have had a firearm, let alone a loaded one,in the first place..i might add that unless you are an air marshall,or law enforcement person ecorting a prisoner, firearms are definitely NOT allowed, and those people check in separately with proper identification..this man was obviously unaware of the process..if you are wanting to have a firearm in your "luggage",you must fill out a form, show the agent at the ticket counter its unloaded, have or purchase the required gun holder ,and then check it as a piece of luggage..i worked years ago (long before tsa) with a lady who actually was shot in the foot by a man showing her his gun was "unloade"while checking his luggage..!
I think you misread the original statement.
User "Emkstiuk" is a Reserve LEO.
The person who had a firearm and accidentally discharged it is a 3 time felon, according to Emkstiuk's friends.
