Do some research as to what has been done and what is required to make such flights. It takes more than just we will send an aircraft...... The Germans had only two Airports to uplift from.

Wonder if Lufthansa has ever flown to NZ. Might be the Kiwis' last chance to see a passenger 747 - if they get out of lockdown in time...

In another text I read that this was the first time Lufthansa flew to New Zealand.

First time Lufthansa had been here to NZ in 20 years. And, Mike, we're on target to be out of our lockdown in 2-3 weeks, a total of 4-5 weeks thanks to great leadership from the PM and Kiwi compliance (generally). Strange times so who knows how many more 747s we'll see :-)

hey didn't bring us home! In spite of Singapore Airlines (LH code share partner) confirming flights and seats from NZ, LH consistently failed to update their ticketing. So we could not fly. Finally, LH offered partial reimbursement which we accepted, and then bought new seats - on the SAME flights that SQ had proposed for us!
No sign of a reimbursement from LH and it seems now that they may well duck out of their commitment!
