UK Sending Retired Sea Kings to Ukraine

Submitted
As part of its “unwavering support,” the British government will provide Ukraine with three retired Westland WS-61 Sea King helicopters. UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace announced the deal last week ahead of a regional European meeting to discuss continued military aid to Ukraine. The first helicopter has been delivered and the Royal Navy is providing Ukrainian crews with training. (www.ainonline.com) More...

I see the loonies are alive and well and yapping at the moon! This is an aviation list, not a political one. Take your tripe elsewhere.

Well, in fairness, it is a story directly related to the war. Which could be considered political.

I live at the northern end of a runway, several weeks ago a plane crashed what looks like a miss calculation with the tree line. There was very little info and what got out turned out to be inaccurate. Anyway does it seem that this last summer there were more than average crashes?

The first helicopter has been delivered and the Royal Navy is providing Ukrainian crews with training. So I think 💭 is ambiguous

I guess when they get shot down in Ukraine, the UK will not have to deal with the asbestos in them.

Spot On! They were retired for a reason and will fall from the skies due to MX. issues, poorly trained pilots and/or semi-modern anti aircraft weapons.

Do the ukies' have any non foreign born troops left to transport?
