2,500 Boeing workers approve contract after averting strike

Nearly 2,500 Boeing workers at three St. Louis-area facilities on Wednesday accepted a contract offer from the plane manufacturer after calling off a strike planned for earlier this week. In recent weeks, a dispute over the three-year contract centered on retirement compensation. The union has its own retirement plan called the IAMNPF. Why are they allowed to get out of using it? All IAM union workers should be in it, as that would make it a far superior plan. The company pays into it for you and it allows for early retirements etc etc
