Hurricane Matthew aiming for Piper Aircraft

Looks like Matthew has Vero Beach in its sights this morning. Few of us have not flown Pipers in our lives. Family grew up in Miami, and left after Hurricane Andrew. Hate to think of the mess this is going to make of the factory and all the partly completed aircraft and equipment. Best of luck to y'all. (www.nhc.noaa.gov) More...

Piper's been through this before. Their factory should stand up pretty well. Any planes on the ramp are long gone. Embry Riddle flew all theirs to Auburn. Anybody with any sense that owns a plane on the east coast of Florida should be long gone by now.
