Boeing 787-9 headed to New Zealand, Australia next month

Boeing's 787-9 Dreamliner is headed 'down under' next month as the next-gen jet undergoes extensive testing ahead of its mid-year debut with Air New Zealand. The flying visit is expected to include stop-overs at Auckland, Brisbane and Alice Springs. (www.ausbt.com.au) More...

Air New Zealand to launch first route for Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

New Zealand's national airline announced the world's first scheduled route for Boeing's 787-9 Dreamliner on Thursday.
As the latest Dreamliner's first customer, Air New Zealand will be flying the launch aircraft from Auckland, where the airline is based, to Perth, in Western Australia starting in October 2014.
A cabin mock-up was revealed as part of the announcement at the opening of the airline's Customer Innovation and Collaboration Centre in Auckland.

Air New Zealand gears up for Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner’s debut

Air New Zealand confirms July delivery of its first 787-9, has bought an NZ$10m flight simulator (787-8 model, with -9 upgrade to come) on which pilots begin training this week, will run AKL-SYD, MEL, BNE flights from July to September, says three 787-9s due this year with the next two in September & October 2015, will mainly run 787s to Asia and keep 777-300s for North America.
