Serious question: Is the A380 a novelty aircraft, like the Concord? I don't see how a heavy four engine plane can be cost effective. Seems to me the only reason it was built was for novelty.

Sorry BA - still not good enough to get me back!On a recent trip I flew Emirates F class ADL-DXB-GLA (B777)and then ZRH-DBX(B777)then DXB-SYD (A380)for the return. All sectors had the EK First class suites, and the A380 has showers as well.Emirates is the Gold standard in F cabins for both appointments and service - BA lost my business 5 years ago because of lousy service. Unless BA can emulate the EK model they'll be forever playing catch-up.
