FlightAware and Boeing team up to track 787s everywhere

Submitted
This is really quite amazing, especially the Google Earth integration and animations. I'm slightly surprised this hasn't been posted yet, since I got it from FlightAware's FB page. (flighttracker.newairplane.com) More...

Upon further review, in 360 view, it looks cool but doesn't update regularly so the plane doesn't move forward.

This marriage of data streams is extremely interesting, particularly when it's overflying areas you're familiar with - thanks for the post. I am using Firefox 20.0

Terry and Steve. If you dump regular google earth and download google earth 3D it should work. I just did it for the 1st time and it IS cool!

I really don't get it, I bring up track in Google Earth and the screen with the plane comes up, it shows it from a 360 degree view, when in passenger mode the plane shows no movement, (the ground does not move nor the map)what am I doing wrong? in the map in the lower right hand corner it never moves. PLEASE HELP this looks like it has the potential to be great to watch/follow.

Flightradar24.com already offers a Google Earth based "Cockpit View" on any flight you click but it doesn't work on my Internet Explorer. It does work if I use Google Chrome although saying that it has got the shakes there lately too. It also shows altimeter, compass and airspeed indicator.
