Air Safety Foundation releases 22nd Joseph T. Nall Report

Slightly fewer accidents despite a modest increase in flight time reduced the accident rate for non-commercial fixed-wing flights from 6.60 per 100,000 hours in 2009 to 6.30 in 2010, a decrease of almost 5 percent. The non-commercial helicopter accident rate dropped nearly 30 percent thanks to a 22 percent reduction in the number of accidents and a 7 percent increase in flight time.
