That was actually known to quite a few people. When Bombardier fixed the design parameters for its CSeries, now the Airbus A220, this flight from London City to New York was one of the routes they wanted to be able to do.

The A220 series can't make that trip except in a low-density configuration like the discontinued British Airways flight and under perfect conditions. Maybe that's what you're referring to.

I guess in the age of COVID there isn't enough demand for this flight, and it may never come back if businesses shun in-person meetings in the future.
