I remember a column in Aviation Week years ago describing the improvements in fuel burn between Minneoapolis and Washington-DC when the 757 replaced whatever else used to be on the route, and it was substantial . I would like to know the same results now that the A300-900neo has replaced the 767-300 on seattle-shanghai, for it makes the case that venerable long-term good performers need to go off a route if and when a quantum improvement is possible.
