No, "Intra" is completely within a given State or a school's sports program as in intramural, as follows from a Google search:

What is the different between inter and intra?
Intra- is a prefix used to form words that mean on the inside, within. Contrast this with inter- and you immediately see the difference. While inter- deals with open systems among groups, intra- deals with closed systems between a single group

Any reason this is referred to as "interstate" instead of "domestic"?

My guess is that it’s because it’s not all within the US—much of it is over international waters.

I wondered that too. Perhaps to exclude flights to/from U.S. territories that aren’t states? Still, there aren’t any longer domestic flights than this from Guam or Puerto Rico as far as I know.

Anyone know why there are no direct flights from SNA to Hawaii?
Skydog11
UA used to fly SNA-OGG. Probably economics or the limitation of a 5700' rwy.

Intra State not Interstate from one State to Another, that basically means the Same thing,

INTRA, BASICALLY means The same thing, I think Domestic, is more proper, since not contiguous United States.
