Commercial flights proposed for Salem Municipal Airport... again

Salem's McNary Field (KSLE/SLE) is halfway between Portland and Eugene, two of Oregon's busiest commercial airports. Salem's location has made it difficult for it to maintain commercial service in the past decade. Delta offered twice-daily flights to Salt Lake City from 2007 to 2008; the recession, rising fuel prices, and higher ticket prices compared to the Portland market ended Delta's presence at SLE.
