at least it was on take off though
???? That is the worse time for engine issues. Maybe you meant, at least it happened at a time in the takeoff when there was available runway to stop.

Almost sounds like a movie script!
Stupid headline as engine fragments from one engine were ingested by the other not the bird.
The second engine was indeed killed by collateral damage, but I'll still give the bird credit for two kills. Thankfully, it was only the engines that were killed.
