Several accounts of the PIA crash included the cockpit voice recorder with blaring voice and audio warnings heard. Automation flying is becoming an issue. If the aircraft has automated systems that only require programing then manual flying capability requirements are reduced.
However, a pilot MUST be proficient in manual or automated flying or both. If Automation becomes problematic during a flight you must be able to get the aircraft landed without it.

Add to this an issue with a valid pilot license then the flight may not end well.
