Amazing Miniature Airport in Hamburg

Submitted
Up to 40 different aircraft taxi independently at this miniature airport to the gates. They also are pushed back from the gates before taxing to the runway. Each aircraft is equipped with original lights and realistic turbine sounds. (www.youtube.com) More...

Do a Google search on this particular layout. The airport is just a small part of an HO train layout that is absolutely amazing. The whole thing is in Hamburg Germany and takes up two to three floors of an old warehouse.kł

Poor attention to detail, if you ask me. The AF T7 was absolutely pristine!

Then again, maybe this was its first commercial flight, after delivery from Boeing...

Just kidding - This display is AWESOME in about a gazillion different ways. MUST get back to Germany!

I've been there twice. Combined I went camera crazy and took over 400 pictures. It is especially nice for parents who have children. Each one of the train layouts represents a country. I will probably go back when they finish the Italy exhibit. The first time I was there I missed the Mount Rushmore exhibit but found it the second time. I found that you can loose yourself for hours in there. You can even visit the control room where all the train layouts are run from. The city of Hamburg has lots of things to do with unique districts.

Crazy. That plane at the very end, even had a collapsed landing nose gear and was on fire.

If you go through and watch their videos, enable closed captions so that the videos will have english subtitles for those that don't speak german.

Wow... that is impressive! Only German engineering could design something like that.
