Lockheed P-3 Orion — - KMRY - Spyplane ?? There are no identifying numbers on the P-3 only the Navy insignia as this "Orion" departs Monterey - even under the horizontal stabilizers, I zoom shot that area as it rolled by looking for numbers and nothing...apprx date June 1988.

Can't explain the lack of Reg#'s, but these used to spend hours in the pattern at KFAT in the 80's & 90's....maybe still do! Remember a lot of them at Crow's Landing aux. field also! Thanks for posting, Tom! Cheers!!

CW and Gman - all good words and thank you - CW how do you know about Crows Landing? I never visited over from SJC area but most people don't know - Gman - thanks and the P-3 era when we lived in San Jose was common daily scene - at NAS Moffett. Here is one of my vids on YT I filmed in 1987 -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35fL3EvNNyM

Hi Tom! Back in the day, used to drive up/down I-5 a lot! When landing to the east at Crows Landing, P-3's would fly right over the freeway on final. Some days, there would be 3 to 5 of them in the pattern! Alas...I never had a camera with me!! Fine memories though! Cheers from Indiana!
