I love the chock on the wheel to make sure the aircraft doesn't roll away.

Looks to me like a fresh water bath is in order...or a rain cloud.

Based on another picture of N747LA on this site and where the "dirt" is on the airframe, it's part of the paintjob.

More curious are the piston engine and turbine exhaust pipes...

The piston engine exhaust isn't really there, Torsten... It's part of the paint job - just like the painted-on smoke coming out of them.

Why is the wheel chock surprising? Standard practice for any parked aircraft.
