Is this photo by any chance Flt# 96 of June 12, 1972? Can't really see because of the Cargo Tug, but with the ambulance there, just wondering. In that incident, the cargo door blew off, but the pilots managed a safe landing back at Detroit Met Wayne County Airport.
I uploaded a lot of photos of N103AA, photos appear to be promotional photos from 1972...this photo could be AA92, not sure...ill research it
Cargo doors appear to be intact. Flaps and slats are still down though, perhaps some other incident.
these were original American Airlines Photos I have, 8x12 I believe from 1972.
