De Havilland Canada Twin Otter (RA-67284)
The village of Svetlaya, a northern village in the Primorsky Territory, with a population of less than a thousand people, is engaged in woodworking.
Very good pics Vera, and stories to go with with them. These are things we wouldn't normally get to know or see. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the background story.
What an amazing, durable, workhorse of an aircraft. I enjoyed my rides in them. Nice views with the high wings.
I love it! Those Twin Otters are modern bush planes. Go anywhere, land anywhere, STOLs. I guess they're the perfect aircraft for Siberia. :-)
A Viking Air new build of a classic DHC-6, a STOL 19 seater with modern avionics and power plant on a proven airframe renowned for capabilities not found in other aircraft.
Thanks for watching! This is one of my two favorite planes and it is really ideal for difficult conditions (only in the photo not Siberia, but the Far East, this is even further, it is almost Japan)
