Just wondering why the tips of the wings are bent upwards. What purpose does that serve?
Improves aerodynamics.

The tips of the wings are called winglets and they usually will make the aircraft 4% more efficient with fuel burn

These are called "Winglets" which help increase range and aerodynamics and decrease fuel burn....They use those on the 757, 737 and A321 too... :D
You might want to correct the registration as it is N383AN instead of N838AN.
